OFF TOPIC - HAPPY DANCE OF EPIC PROPORTIONS

Out of the blue today, I got an email to see if DS had a team for the Midget split season.

He was asked to join the Midget Major (he's technically still a minor) B team.

Hot diggity dog!

Oh it is - it means he'll be doing something other than waiting for the season to start for HS.

I'm glad for him. Of course, if it will get him out of the house and out of your hair for the next few weeks, that's even better.

You can explain it to me offline in small ENGLISH words, since I don't speak Hockey. But context leads me to believe a Hooray is in order.

Does this mean we can plan our retirement around an NHL salary supporting members of his entourage?

Good thing. Major Bs will be a fine fit. Major As or higher - big surprise. Though the B's, like house teams, can have a lot more stupid than the AA/AAA and Tier I kids. What fun - glad to hear it.

From what I've heard - there is very little difference between the midget major teams beyond which coach liked which player - abilities are pretty even. All the "serious" HS players have left for other leagues or are playing Juniors splits (which may be a bizarre local thing).

But - he's dropping drivers ed - which started the first night of practice.
