They`ve just announced an outbreak of H5 Avian flu about twenty miles from us, in a major turkey raising establishment.
Hopefully it`s well contained, but of course the question is - what took it IN?

This strain is, they announced, the virulant one, though, but they are pretty sure they have it contained. On the other hand, I can`t see how they know that, since they don`t know what brought it in.
We have idiots on our local group screaming "Armageddon" but I`m sure that that is more likely to be caused by global warming, than chicken flu!

They will probably never know for certain. Many migratory birds can carry the strain without showing any symptoms.
