A young Native American woman went to a doctor for her first ever physical exam. After checking all of her vitals and running the usual tests, the doctor said, "Well, Running Doe, you are in fine health. I could find no problems. I did notice one abnormality however."

"Oh, what is that, Doctor?"

"Well, you have no nipples."

"None of the people in my tribe have nipples,"she replied.

"That is amazing," said the doctor, "I'd like to write this up for The North Dakota Journal of Medicine if you don't mind.

She said, "OK."

"First of all" asked the doctor, "how many people are in your tribe?"

She answered, "Approximately 500."

"And what is the name of your tribe?" asked the doctor. *

Running Doe replied, "We're called ...... ; (You know me, I hate to do this to you)

(I really do hate to do this to you; (I love it!)

Note I altered South to North Dakota lol

Okay, I'm not sure where I stand on this one!

As part American Indian & as a born & bred Hoosier, Indy resident &

500 fan, I should be appalled.

But hey - it was kinda funny!

The world's foremost authority on wasps is walking down the street when he sees a record in the window of a charity shop 'Wasp noises from around the world'. Intrigued, he goes into the shop and asks if he can listen to it. "Certainly," says the shop assistant and pops it onto his turntable. After listening to the first track for a while, the world's foremost authority on wasps is a bit confused, "I don't recognise any of these noises, and I'm the world's foremost authority on wasps! Can you play the next track please?" The assistant obliges and skips the needle onto the next track. After a while, the world's foremost authority on wasps is still confused, "No, I still don't recognise any of these wasps. Can you try the next track?" The assistant skips the needle on, and the world's foremost authority on wasps listens for a little while longer before shaking his head, "It's no good. I just don't recognise any of these wasps" The assistant peers at the label of the record and says, "Oh, I'm terribly sorry. I had it on the bee side"

Gentle and horrible lol

Well, in our current issue we have a review of a recording of crickets.

108 crickets were "conducted" in making the music -- presumably with a very, very tiny baton! We were afraid that putting it in the April/May issue, people might take it as a joke, but it's indeed real:

A couple go for a meal at a Chinese restaurant and order the "Chicken Surprise". The waiter brings the meal, served in a lidded cast iron pot. Just as the wife is about to serve herself, the lid of the pot rises slightly and she briefly sees two beady little eyes looking around before the lid slams back down. "Good grief, did you see that?" she asks her husband. He hasn't, so she asks him to look in the pot. He reaches for it and again the lid rises, and he sees two little eyes looking around before it slams down. Rather perturbed, he calls the waiter over, explains what is happening, and demands an explanation. "Please," says the waiter, "what you order?" The husband replies, "Chicken Surprise." "Ah, so solly," says the waiter, "I bling you Peeking Duck"

We went over to mainland (Kirkwall) on Tuesday. It was Maureen's first off-island trip for nearly two years. The weather was wet and very windy. The little aeroplane got tossed around quite a bit during the short flight so Maureen says it may well be another two years before she goes off the island again.

Thanks for posting this link :-). That guy is just too cute -- talking with his "mom" I suppose. I had a kitty once who would talk to me just a little bit but not quite as much as this kitty. What language is his "mom" speaking? I can't hear her well enough to place it. Thanks & CiaoMeow >^;;^<

Thanks, Mirjam - that was cute. Our cat very rarely meows. I'd hardly ever heard him meow, but in the past couple of months he might let out one meow as we're getting his food. However, the other day we had a "conversation" almost like the one in the video. It was very strange!

That was definitely cute. Puckster, who is not a very barky dog, has taken to making "interesting" guttural sounds. As if he's really trying to speak more like us. Yesterday, I took him to a very cool self-service doggie wash place :

, he definitely wanted to play with the guy in doggie day care, andthen a bigger dog came in for a bath, that we know from the dog bark.Puckster had more conversation coming out of him than the whole place. Atfirst, it sounded like I was torturing him, then very interesting not quitewhines, but very musical long noises. Very strange - it kept the peoplesamused. Wish I'd been able to record it. But, when I was finishing up,and he was getting air blown with the slightly warm air - that must of feltgood, because he was making moaning kind of noises - like we all make whengetting a feel good massage. It was something else. ellice

Either that or he was wishing you would treat him to the Blueberry Facial! :))
