OT - Good Thoughts!!!!!!!!!

Nov 26, 2010 13 Replies

Please send all your good thought to my brother-in-law and to my sister and her two girls (19 & 21). He is the one diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor in August. The first chemo/radiation appeared to have shrunken the tumor but the steroids gave him trouble. He's not doing well, though, and it appears to be just a waiting game now.

Thanks in advance.

They will be added to my list. Can I ask for your thoughts for my dear S-I-L, and also my friend's teenage son...... both battling !

Sending my good thoughts, healing vibes, to both sets of folk.

And adding mine as well.

Sorry to hear this, Liz. Good thoughts happening!

You've got 'em, Liz! And Polly's SIL and friend, too!

Keep us posted.....

Thanks to all for the thoughts & hugs. He passed away at home yesterday afternoon. The two girls had already said their good byes when they went back to school (UC Davis & UC Irvine) after Thanksgiving. Considering the tumor and the (probably) irreversible damage it had done to him, sometimes it takes more strength to stop fighting . . . .

Still sending thoughts for your sister, her girls and you. Condolences to you all.

My thoughts are with you and your family.

just me, Cathy from KY in CA

Best wishes for your family, it just can't be easy. When DH was en-route to his senior year at Cornell, his DF suddenly passed away - after dinner, while they stopped at his sister's in RI. Made a very difficult semester - even with taking 2 weeks off. Sending the best hope for all, and the girls

- it's a difficult time no matter how resolved we are to the passing of ill loved ones.

It sounds like it's been a tough week for all of us! As bad as brain (or any other kind) of cancer is, at least they had a chance to say their good byes. I always feel much more badly for those who lose someone suddenly and have no opportunity to say good bye or to make amends for any little - or big - misunderstandings that may have occurred beforehand.
