OT:Hanna

The fringe winds are swirling here and I am wondering if Cheryl and Bratty are silent today because Hanna is lashing around there prior to arriving here first thing tomorrow.

If they have lost power, likely we will too. And then there's Ike...haven't seen what he is up today yet.

That could be. According to my tracking site it's going right through Boston and Maine just about now.

Ike is back to a Cat 3 right now but it's nowhere near FL and it's doubtful that it will cause too much of a problem. There's a vague possibility that it might cause a bit of rain and wind in the Keys, but not much further North then that. If it stays on its present track it will go into the Gulf and cause a little more of a problem on the West Coast of FL, or go into TX and LA. They really have had enough so I hope it just weakens and dies.

Sorry, you are right. It isn't an official weather service site. It was given to me by a friend and I didn't read the disclaimer.

I know it is used by several Florida Newspapers and my friend originally found it in the Palm Beach Post.

Cheryl was silent because A. she was at work B. got home exhausted And C went to bed right after finishing the latest Kathy Reisch book

Hanna dumped about 5 inches of rain here - I have some basement flooding to deal with.

Seems like a good reason ! Same here, they say gusty winds but we are concerned about the potential flooding coming after nearly a month of rain. She is due in Halifax around noon.

I was silent because I was out running agility all day. Luckily, we didn't get enough rain to interfere until last night. Now to go see what the fields look like and if there's too much mud to run.

Even here in the boondocks, we got a ton of rain but for a change no serious power outages. We just had a few little ones, just long enough to turn off computers and TV's and just to be a nuisance, screw up all the clocks.

I have decided that we have had enough this year and it's TIME TO STOP. No more storms I tell you!!!!! lol
