OT: It just figures!

Leave it to Puff to pick an appropriate time to get himself locked in my clothes closet. He's barking his fool head off so I better go and let him out. This happens at least once every day. ' How do you convince a dog that it's stupid to follow me in every time I go there to get something?

No doll, she said "over here" it's baby talk, and it's actually "binkie" not "bikkie" to be more exact. In the US, it means passifier.

I believe the term defined in parenthesis was to tell those not from the UK what it means THERE. So, of course it's a British term for cookie. Geeze.

Yes, you're right.

You don`t - unless, in our case, you switch the vacuum cleaner on - then Maggie shoves her bottom very firmly at the feet of whoever`s NOT using it!

Geeze yourself. Would you do me a big favor and stop calling me "doll."

And you're wrong. I believe she did mean to say "bikkie." And who are you to tell me I'm not permitted to ask an innocent question without the likes of you correcting me.

And binkie is an entirely different term that is a euphemism for "pacifier" here in the states. It seems to me that you might need one to soothe you and stop you from being so intolerant. You seem to want to keep an unpleasant thread going, so be my guest.

Adding to my own note I just read your message about going for a biopsy tomorrow and I want to say that I'm sorry you're having health problems and I wish you good results from your tests. Try to think calming thoughts, it might help you stay focused on what's important.

I did say "Bikkie" - didn`t I? - can`t see it now - it`s been read - and gone! ;-) (And yes, I know I can, but can`t be bothered!)

Pacifier is a Dummy here in the UK if anyone wants to know. Filthy things. Never allowed my kids to have `em.

There you are - something else to start a war over - dummy/pacifier or not? No more controversial than bikkies/cookies/binkies!!!

Are you telling me you don't see the beauty in observing a 3 year old running around with his runny nose and his pacifier (the one he just picked up off the floor) and touching every item on the shelf in the market.

Strange you should feel that way. ; oÞ

The three year olds not bother me as much as the 5 year olds I see sometimes. Makes my skin crawl.

snipped a bunch of stuff

I gather pediatricians think they're fine, but in my day they weren't quite as acceptable. I don't mind so much on an infant, but on a 5 year old it's got to look gross.

You did say "bikkie" I was just saying that *I* read it wrong the first time I saw it. What was funny was that either way it was totally appropriate.

You can, if you can figure out a cheap way to mail it, send me a snowball. I don't much miss shoveling it, or digging my car out of it, but I miss the beauty of a snowfall.

Thank you, and I am very focused. I'm focused on not freaking out about any of it and just going in aggressively. That's what works for me with my health. I'm sorry I called you doll. This is just a silly thread afterall. It was my point, which was that, I haven't been here in months and the fighting still prevails as normal. Every time I stay away and return, it's always to the same exact whining and complaining and blaming the world.

I'll let Pat know in email and she can report if anyone is interested. I really didn't intend to get back into it here, but every now and again my blood also boils. Thanks for the good wishes, and all the email good wishes. They are all very welcome and considered.

I call Mikabird a Peak Freene. She's a serious cookie.

Apology accepted.

As to the whining and qvetching, just ignore it. It generally goes away.

Good luck tomorrow.

That is so sweet of you---no, we can find them here too, I am just being lazy. We have our first winter storm watch of the season today---maybe I should head to the grocery store and get some as emergency rations. Dawne, just waiting for 5-10 cm of snow to fall down on her
