At last, Spring has definitely sprung - the frogs are singing fit to bust, and the pond is a mass of seething bodies in a welter of sex! Late this year - it happened in February last year.
Thank goodness for that!

NOT here, first day of spring SNOW.
Do you know the verse my (English) Granny taught me?
Spring has sprung, The grass has riz. I wonder where The birdies is.
Felice
We had a version back in Brooklyn that was:
Spring has sprung The boid is on the wing Now I know that is wrung, cause The wing is on the boid
Lucille
Then:-
The little birds are on the wing. Now isn`t that a funny thing? I thought the wings were on the birds!

The variant in my family is:
Spring is sprung, The grass is riz, I wonder where The flowers is.
Best wishes, Ericka
I might add the MALE component! Spring is sprung, The grass is riz. I wonder where The girlies is!
