LOL - that's cute. My great-aunt would tell the absolute best jokes, but I don't know that they translate well into writing - requiring accents & hand gesturs.
Hmmmm - is she maybe from Newfoundland? Certainly not NS - but with the "dearie" - doesn't really sound American.
