OT: Wine Drinkers are discriminating people !

Hear, hear! If it were, then we would have no computer games (there are people who play them to the exclusion of all else, including eating, sleeping and having jobs).

If you took it personally, too bad. I am not an addictive personality, so sorry on that one. I didn't accuse anyone here of being an addictive person or alcoholic. I simply made a counter statement to something you glorified. How you took it is up to you.

Please don't try to control me. It won't work. And we are all going to die and leave rctn. Yes, even you.

"Glorified" ? I reprinted what my original post said because you have travelled very far from what was said. This exemplifies it.

I am correcting what you are implying I said/did, so the control would be coming the other way. I know we shall all die, it is the only certain fact from the moment of birth. Death holds zero fear for me, sorry about that, and I also believe death is the end, no being reincarnated in any shape or form. The only possible reincarnation is that one way or another, our physical bodies become compost, upon which something else may grow and flourish. Us ? We will be dead, gone and forgotten too once all who knew us in life are gone.

\ Is your disbelief in anything supposed to be jarring in some way? I'm atheist. So? Your belief in nothing doesn't take me back. It's perfectly feasible. I am also not afraid of death. I'm not afraid of much. This all started over a nothing thing. You said wine drinkers pick better foods, etc. I merely gave the other side of wine drinkers...the ones who are wino's, drunks, alcoholics, etc. It wasn't meant to say YOU were one. It was a counter statement. Whatever it was, it certainly is not worth all of this effort.

You did. You've made allusions to it several times, Victoria, with comments about how all your hair will be falling out soon, etc. What else are we to assume?

Well, no, darling, if the above statement is meant to attest that I am not an alcoholic, it would be wrong. I am indeed one. But I don't drink at all anymore, so you can call me a non-practicing alchoholic. I Gave it up about the time I gave up my Catholicism. LOL!

You pour one for me too please ! As I said, currently I have little to no wine, only what is allowed with points within the Flex Plan from WW. I did bottle 20 bottles of Barolo yesterday though and am about to do another 20 today, boring!

Hi Lucretia, How's it coming for you (WW)? It can be hard staying on track, but it's worth it. Keep up the good work, it can be done! Heather

80+ lbs down and loving it!

I am not actually going to WW though I do follow the Flex diet, taking instructions from a friend. I have always had great trouble to lose weight, it comes off painfully slowly and through time I have learned it is less depressing to just go by the fit of my jeans, than to weigh and perhaps go ten days before losing a 1/4lb lol

My friend has lost 20lbs since September and she looks good on it, it has gone where she needed to lose it. I started at NY's and can tell I have lost.

I just find the diet boring. I do like my food. I eat correctly, lots of veggies and fruit etc. but I sin by having asparagus and adding the Hollandaise lol I am not a pizza/McDonalds person, it's what I eat and how I prepare it.

I think it is marvellous you have shed 80lbs, keep going for what you need. I probably need about 15-20 but often that is hard to lose. I think WWs is the best because I have friends who ate the worst of foods and it did retrain them, make them enjoy their fruit and veggies etc. and that can't be bad! What did surprise me was to find things like All Bran were out - who'd a thought it has sugar?? I also appreciate that I can eat out and find things on the menu readily that are perfectly okay to eat, that is a big help. I think if I had to forego eating out with friends, I wouldn't last long.

Congratulations, it's nice to hear about people succeeding :)
