Picked up my crewel project.

Managed to start and finish a couple of leaves. Never got a rhythm going - too much else going on.

You know that you just have to wait. It will suddenly pop and you'll be on a roll.

I just rinsed out a little 5 x 7 sampler for a 50th Anniversary gift for my brother and sister-in-law. I hope they like it.

A confession from me. I just went to see if the sampler is ready for ironing and lo and behold, I discovered that I left out the back stitching on one side. It's as big as life and all I can do is shake my head and think: "How did you do that?"

I wouldn't DREAM of doing them all in the same shade of green. Sometimes I put two or even three shades of green in a single leaf, depending on how I feel.
