Very OT: Cats

Is it possible cats can get haemorrhoids ? I just had occasion to snip away poopy fur (one of those ghastly pet owner tasks that come up) and noticed what looks like what I think haemorrhoids would look like. Anyone had a cat with them, or know if they get them ?

It might be time for a vet check. I know that dogs can get anal tumors and would assume cats can, too. Don't want to scare you, but it's best to have those sorts of things checked out.

Yes Lucille sent me an email pointing out rectal prolapse in cats on google and that could be it. Poor Bucket, he's not at all bothered by whatever it is, but he sure hates a trip in the car and the vet !

I asked some other cat-type folk and these sites were suggested:

Thanks, Lucille suggested google and we felt it looked like a prolapse of the rectum, though he will hate me, he is being marched off to the vet on Monday.
