What we're stitching now...

I'm babysitting tonight and I'll agree to that! Dear Neighbor's Son is a sweetie, but he NEVER stops talking.

When I was a kid I was thrilled that the Dawn Dolls had a doll with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes like mine. I think her name was Angie and she always got the boy doll, not that awful blonde Dawn girl! lol

I'm working on Long Dog's Plight of Fancy:

Jan Houtman's Patchwork Sampler. Unfortunately I got down to the solidly stitched band toward the bottom of Plight of Fancy and decided I had to start Patchwork. It is addictive and I don't think I'll be getting back to Plight until Patchwork is finished. Great thread, I'm enjoying reading about everyone's projects!

Lynn,

I'm laughing really hard right now. Tegan is addicted to the Vikki Clayton silks. I'm sure that when she gets a break from her job and reads this she'll confirm it.

So far I've managed to resist the temptation to buy any silks, because I just know I won't want to go back to cotton!

I don't remember those. But you are a little younger than me. You're about the same age as Dsister, who played dolls next door while I had my nose in a book! LOL

That`s a GORGEOUS sampler. It`s spurred me on to dig out my "Tennyson`s Brook sampler - threee quarters done (or more) " So much to do, so little time! " (There`s a quotation to stitch?)

LOL

The only reason I don't own this (Plight of Fancy) is because I've never seen the chart in a shop. Yes, I can mail order it, but I keep hoping I can buy it in person!

I may have to cave in soon tho, I have been wanting it since it was still in previews!

Piggybacking - I had a message that pictures had been removed so the website couldn`t see the address of my computer - clicked on that and the pics came up.

Will you people please stop posting these magnificent things that want to come home with me. I don't need anymore things sitting around calling to me.

I may just have to give in to the voice that calling me, actually screaming at me saying buy me--buy me.

I've fallen in love with the Jan Houtman Samplers but a quick look on the net didn't bring up a U.S. distributor of her patterns. Does anyone know who might have them for sale?
