I'd been saving the handwork on my latest quilt so I could take it with me to my jury duty. It's a good thing I called the day before, though; they not only didn't allow *any* scissors -- they didn't even allow needles! :O BTW, jury duty (my seventh in 9.5 years here) was at least partially good, in that I ended up on a one-day trial, just after a *four-month* trial had ended. At any rate, I've now finished the little quilt I began last summer at camp when I was learning Sharon Schamber's turned-edge machine appliqué method. I took that class in order to learn a way to make that dragon I recently finished. Now the class piece is also finished, and I've posted pics at . I loved quilting this one! I used lots of feathers -- my favorite motif. The little bunches of flowers are dimensional; DH loves them. Oh, and I didn't have enough fabric for a binding, so I tried a facing instead -- with our Pat on the Hill's encouragement. :) I think that facing came out rather well; IOW, you can't see it. LOL!

Sandy, I wasn't 'being kind'. Your lovely creation simply bowls me over. That is so gorgeous. Sometimes, my own quilting is pretty good, sometimes it is only good. Yours is Smashing! Polly

Thanks again, Polly. :D Whether you meant to be kind or not, I still think it was very kind of you to post a comment -- whether you liked the quilt or not isn't the question, but taking the time to post *is*.

As for the fact that you liked my quilt, I'm delighted. Like most of us, I do enjoy having the approval of other quilters.
