Directory question - need input

Ok, I may be opening a Pandora's box with this posting, but I need to know your preferred format of the Directory for the pending revision . The form that you will fill out dumps the data into a spreadsheet format similar to Excel. I do some tweaking of the information and save it as a spreadsheet. This format allows sorting of the columns for any number of purposes. LN takes this data and also creates a two column word processing document. This format does not allow for any sorting, but it can allow you to create mailing labels if necessary. So, given the above explanations and with the understanding that this version of the Directory will be mostly done by me this time, what format is preferred? I don't mind doing both, but I would really like to streamline this process given the size the Directory has become, but I also want to provide a Directory that is user friendly to, well, the users. I realize that many of you are very computer literate and twist and turn the Directory into a variety of formats once it is received, but these variations of the Directory are for personal use only and are not to be shared. Sorry to have to do this, but we need to take measures to ensure security of our data. So, speak now, yadda, yadda,.......... Thanks! Only a few more weeks to the new Directory!

The Directory is the only truly Spam free list in existence! the only things you get from it are nice squishies and warm fuzzy feelings when you send a squishy yourself!

Howdy! Speaking of faqs, you may have answered this before: "from GA for the moment"--- are you moving, Joan? If so, we have some excellent stash packers here, some will pack it into the trunk of their cars, some into the moving van, some will just pack a little into a tote bag. But all are willing and helpful. Just don't expect to find all your stash in your house after you've moved.

And I have an EMPTY Yukon and now a Trail Blazer to help......and, boy howdy, do I have the experience of packing. I will have to bring my partner-in-crime tho--she's pretty good at labeling :)

Thank you for such a generous offer, it's nice to know what a wonderful group you all are to offer your time and energy and large vehicles to help me pack and move my stash!!! LOL!! But, no, sorry to say I am not moving, the whole 'from ga for the moment' is more an expression of discontent. I have lived in GA for 4

1/2 years, but it has felt like an eternity!!! I know GA is a fine place to live for most, just not for me. These have been the most stressful years of my life and I long for the day that I can move geographically and mentally!! Although now that I have a sewing room again (my fabric was in boxes for over 2 years) and I have been able to hang out in my 'sanctuary', I feel better. I am still not sewing as much as I need to but the family is slowly adjusting to me being unavailable. If they would pay attention to the fact that I function better after a long period of "sewingtation' or "medisewing", they might just learn to leave me be when I am in the 'sanctuary'. Who needs clean clothes & food when my stash needs attention!!! I think this was more of a little rant than an answer because I feel better!! Thanks!!

I think I'd prefer a Word document. PDf format would be my second choice.

Piggybacking here since I missed the original while I was out of town for the Fourth. (Brought the teenaged DGK's home with us, so the 'puters are pretty tied up most of the time LOL) I like the text file too. Thanks Alice!
