Joan, as usual you have made something stunning. This quilt is so gorgeous it makes me cry almost. Someday, if I live long enough, maybe I will make something that lovely. I doubt it. You have an incredible gift.

Lovely quilt. I feel the same way about muslin. I actually bought a whole bolt of it a couple of years ago and am still using it.

Joan: Lovely quilt. I agree, a quilt with muslin can be something special. I think it is because it is 'humble' and lets the other fabric play the leading roll. I tend to like it in a quilt with several different simple prints featured in repeating traditional blocks, similar to the one you display here.

Lovely, lovely quilt Joan. That pattern is mesmerizing. I can see why your step-daughter chose it. The applique border really sets it off.
