Glendale, CA Quilt Show

For the first time in 20 years, I am not going ;((( I have been real sick this past week. While feeling better now, I just cannot bring myself to drive that dstance and expose myself to crowds. Then drive home. For me it is risking getting sick again.

We want a full report!!!!!!

Take care of yourself. Looks like we have a slight change of plans. I am going to get my hair cut today and then we will go up this afternoon to the quilt show rather than going tomorrow. Gives me tomorrow to clean for the week since house is on market, and also prepare for a meeting that we are having here on Monday with a potluck dinner.

I will either get back to you all tonight or tomorrow morning.

Well, we left after I had my hair done today so that I have tomorrow to clean house (remember it is on sale right now). We hit horrendous traffic when we got to the L.A. area and were sitting in traffic going nowhere fast when we came to the Citadel (outlet stores that wee built on the site of the old Uniroyal Tire plant) and decided to get off and go see what outlet stores they had. We wandered around for several hours, ate lunch and then came on home. Never made it to Glendale this time. Was a good way to keep me from spending any money on quilting supplies that I don't need or can't afford while I am still in my unemployment state.

Between high mortgage payments and the cost of gas I always have to wonder why folks don't stay home on the weekends and enjoy their homes? It just seems everyone hops in their cars to go somewhere. They sure get in the way for those of us doing important stuff like quilt stores and shows. LOL Sorry the traffic got you guys. It sounds like you made some fun out of a bad situation though. Taria

Debbie, I guess we'll leave it all to our collective imaginations, then ;) Glad you got a bit of a drive done, anyways. I used to drive past the old Uniroyal Plant on my way to work, when they still were open. It was a very strange thing to see in the mornings!

I played with fabric today, made quilty things in my mind, and hope to start something soon.
