Jo in Scotland

Mar 18, 2010 33 Replies

Hi,

Jo asked that I let RCTQ know that she is going back into hospital today. Her ulcerative colitis has flared up and the Docs are concerned about her losing blood, especially following the problems she had when Tristan was born. She is hoping to have a room to herself so that she can have Tristan with her.

Please keep her in your thoughts,

Megwen

Prayers on wing.... Hopefully she and Tristan will not be apart for very long!

Sending prayers and positive vibes across the ocean. ME-Judy

Absolutely! Prayers on the way for a speedy recovery!

Oh what a real shame. Please tell her how sorry I am. Rotten luck - and UC is nothing to be taken lightly. Thanks for letting us know Megwen. . In message , Megwen writes

Oh dear. I hope this can be resolved quickly. I'm sending good thoughts and prayers their way. Hurry home Jo!

Prayers and good wishes on the way. Poor girl, she's had a rough go of it.

I am really sorry for Jo and family. My heart goes out to them. UC is an awful illness that is really tough for folks. I'm hoping they get things under control quickly. Hugs to Jo, Taria

Megwen,

Please tell Jo that we are all thinking of her and wishing her well. Do you have any updates on how she is doing or whether she's been able to have Tristan with her?

Thanks for keeping us informed,

Judie

oh my! no idea what that all entails but sure doesnt sound like any fun at all. i hope she gets the room she requested for the two of them. i'm sure it would help her recovery having him there with her and he'd not have any issues from the break from his mama. sending lots and lots of strong healing vibes in both directions across the globe to Jo, Tristan and Daddy. any updates yet? j.

Only update I have was yesterday when Mark said that Jo was not able to have Tristan with her, so he is looking after him. I don't expect Mark has time to keep me updated with the new skills he will be learning!

oh my goodness. i guess those boys will work it out together somehow. i guess all we can do is wait and keep every body part crossed for a good outcome. is Jo still up in Scotland? i see you're too far to head up for a visit. is anyone on rctq near enough to get in to see her, if only for a few minutes so as not to put any extra pressure on her, just to let her know in person how much we're all pulling for her. thanks Megwen. j.

Jo is in hospital in Dundee; I would be there in a flash, but it takes me a day to get there :-( and at the moment I can't get time off from work to attempt it. The next time I'll be up that way is the middle of May by which time I hope she will be much improved.

is there anyone up that way? tho i'm sure she has enough to cope with she might appreciate at least a quick wee visit from someone to let her know we're all sending so much love and healthy vibes her way. i'm not familiar enough with the citys and towns in scotland to know from the directory. been there but only briefly and that was over 3 decades ago now. j.

any idea which hospital? i'm thinking...ok, so i'm mad as a hatter but anyhow... i'm thinking if i can find them online we could email msgs to the hospital to be given to her from all of us. having all that love arrive via email at the hospital itself just might help her healing. why not use the technology we have here online to do just that when we cant be there with her. just my crazy idea. j.
