latest Quilter's Newsletter Magazine

The old issue says display until 6th Nov, the website has pictures of the new issue, hubbie went to the newstand to buy it last weekend and found 2 of the old one and was told they get deliveries from that publisher on tuesdays and it wasn't in there, he went again today and there was one of the old issue, the only info he got was "sorry".

So, is anyone aware of any delivery problems? or where else I can get it? I'm in Bellevue, WA, and the newstand I use is the one in Crossroads Mall, as they have such a good selection I've never really looked anywhere else. JoAnns has some magazines, but I don't remember seeing QNM. Pacific Fabric and Crafts only has non American magazines. Does anyone know if Quiltworks NW usually has it?

I've seen the new edition in the magazine section of Albertson's, Safeway and Fred Meyer.

Which issue are you looking for Annie? Since I have a subscription and also get a comp copy when I have comissions in them, I'd be glad to mail you my extra copy. Mickie

the current one, I'm in need of reading material, so I'm impatient, thanks to Val, it looks like I might be sorted, but thanks for the offer.

I know you're localish, so I don't suppose you've seen it in any of the Bellevue/Redmond ones? The Albertson's we use doesn't appear to carry any craft machine, the Safeway I use, I think had Fons and Porter, though I've no idea about Fred Mayer, it's so huge, I never make it to the magazine section, it's so far away!

Anne, while you're mending (your body) you might enjoy having a collection of past issues of QNM or another magazine. It is easy to find a nice bunch on ebay for nearly nothing. Quilting trends change, of course, not always for the better and there are grand improvements in construction methods but beauty and inspiration are still alive and well in the 'decades old' editions. DH believes that if Mississippi ever sinks into the Gulf that my magazine and book stash are going to be what has sent them under. They are dear friends and I enjoy seeing them again and again. We hope you are doing better this morning and behaving yourself. Polly

I have a fairly large stack of QNM from about 98-2003, not every issue though, which would then make it tricky to not duplicate. It's the only magazine I've come across that actually has much to read in it rather than being mostly patterns and new products. I don't do ebay, it would be dangerous!

Nope, sorry. Very seldom go in that direction unless heading east on I-90 to go over the hump. I'm an old ancestral Viking Ballardite......we staunchly refuse to acknowledge the existence of any civilization east of "the lake". ;))

Polly: Do tell your DH he has nothing to fear! My book and magazine stash (to say nothing of fabric stash) here on the coast of Virginia will provide nice ballast and should keep y'all steady in the Gulf States. Just do NOT throw your stuff overboard, or the Tidewater area will be yet more water!
