Met Betty and Loren at In the Beginning

Last Sunday at noon we met at ITB in Seattle... Betty, who went with her daughter and grandaughter (cute little girl!) was buying a wonderful assortment of blue fabric for a rowing quilt she is making for her husband (that will have apliqueed oars, if I understood well). I took my crazy baby signature quilt with prairie point edge, my dad's flannel quilt, and my partially pieced mariners compass WH for show and tell. Loren brought two wonderful Reluctant Round Robin tops... I particularly loved how hers turned out, with all that yellow and orange and purple... I am copying the flying geese idea for the border of my mariner's compass WH, I think it will work great! While we were there, a man came in asking who was the owner of a certain car, it was Betty's daughter and he had scratched it, really bad since it is very new! When I get out, I noticed I had parked mine 'wrong' under the shop - my car is so small it fit at a 90 degree angle with the lines marked in the floor, and since there was a column I assumed that was the marked spot for parking. Then this other guy drives by and tells me "is that your car? everybody has been hitting that thing, you parked it wrong" as he exited through the 'no exit' entrance.... anyway, I saw no new dents on my car, just a few scratches on the fender but I think they were already there... hope the damage to the other car wasn't too big either!
