I don't have any Aurifil but I tried it during my last class and I liked it a lot, will start getting it as my other thread runs out - I am cheap....
For machine quilting though I am using either mettler silk finish or madeira neocolours and loving it! They are shiny and thin, and my FM improved a lot when I used that, even in the same sample, so there were no other variables - I can post a pic in webshots if you are interested
