That's just part of the fabric. When you layer the fabric repeats and cut exactly, you end up with something that doesn't really look like the original fabric; it emphasizes some part of the print and looks completely different.

No, I haven't either. :( She's a wonderful woman -- she was in Houston the first year I went, and we had a great time -- "we" being the Ramada Gals. ;)

At least I have a tangible reminder of that first (for me) trip to Houston, since I have the Ramada Gals quilt! BTW, I'll be just down the street from what was the Ramada this year -- memories ... .
