Quilty gift

Just wanted to pass on this tip. A non-quilting friend of mine gave me '2011 Quiling Block & Pattern-a-Day Calendar' over the weekend. If you've never seen it - and I had not before - this thing is AWESOME! There are general quilting info and directions; paper piecing instructions and a plethora of quilt and block designs. There are pieced, appliqued and paper-pieced quilts. The designs are delightful. The quilts have all the specifics as to quilt and block sizes, yardage requirements, enlargement percentages where needed, etc. All in full color. I am VERY impressed. Somewhere towards the end of the year is a re-order form with specifics that I can't locate at the moment. It is published Accord Publishing and the re-order form mentions a cost of approx. $15.00 Comes complete in it's own little cardboard holder. I'm going to guess my friend purchased it through Amazon so I don't know if it may have been less than $15. But even for that price, the number of patterns you get from it is well worth the $$. And if you're looking for a little 'quilty something' for a quilting buddy, I think it's a great gift. Even for the beginner or someone who thinks they might like to delve into quilting. Or if you just want to treat yourself. It does give new meaning to 'so many quilts...so little time'.

NAYY, just wanted to pass the info along.
