Geez Louise Butterfly, are you trying to join me and Kris in our exclusive club? We all three have or have recently had problems with right shoulder rotator. Maybe because we are such angels and those are really our wings? Take care. Ask about Physical Therapy, then follow thru! PT has really helped me lots. Gentle Hugs, PAT in VA/USA

BTDT I thought it was 6 years ago that I had the Wing Impingement Surgery--but it was in 1999-- blame it on the T4. Useta be GOOD a adding and subtractinng and even spelking speling whatever....... Did the whole routine with the PT---this has been going on since I wrote on here about the lump at the base of my neck--about 3 years ago. Had it x-rayed and they saw NO suspicious looking stuff--so blamed it on a Prednisone fluid build-up. Took the Pain Management Dr to order the heavy duty xrays.......and now the Ortho Dr will make the next move for fixing it. In the meantime--I get my eyes tested on Monday--early--so if I do NOT post then--I'm ok. Add that to DH's getting his knees drained in the afternoon--might end up having take-out dinner ; ) Butterfly (can't you hear the 3 of us at Houston--Don't TOUCH my shoulder--doin the Avoidance Dance--much diff than the Ketchup dance)

OUCH!!!! happy, colorful thoughts winging your way this morning.

I'm off for a week -- babysitting my 4yr old DGD in VA. I haven't seen her for over a year but we talk a lot on the phone.

You all remind me how fortunate I am and to slow down to make sure I know where I am putting my feet.

Pain can definitely keep the blood pressure up. How and when did you tear the rotar cuff? Gentle hugs from your Queen, for you AND for Joe.

Close as we can figure--about 3 years ago--I had a LOT of shoulder pain--and woke up with the swelling in the neck/shoulder base. Got into the Dr Assistant that day--they took 'regular xrays' and then blamed it on the Prednisone--had been on Pred a short time...called it Prednisone Fluid Build up--never mind that I kept DROPPING stuff..went to our RA Dr--he said the same thing--went to the "tennis elbow specialist" Dr--he said the same thing--I DID ask him if the shoulder/neck pain could be related to the elbow pain.... Went to FAm Dr this year--he sent me to the Pain Management Dr--who OREDEREDEREDDDD the Hi-Flautin x-ray.....and now I go to the Ortho Dr. Butterfly (and I'm STILL droppppppping stuff--*Clean Up Crew* LOVES it)

Poor, poor Butterfly. I'm so sorry the docs keep telling you these things you would really rather not hear- my silliest son (they both have their moments) keeps telling me to just quit going! Sadly, that's not really a great alternative. Sending you lotsa big, fluffy, warm hugs and prayers for all these medical tangles and troubles to get straightened out soonest. The puppers send sloppy doggie-breath kisses, too.

Gentle ((((((hugs))))))) to you and DH. But isn't it positive that the dr now knows about your shoulder? Can it be fixed? Sending positive thoughts, Roberta in D

Butterfly,

I never had a BP problem until I had my nasal surgery 2 years ago. That surgery was a whole different story that I won't get into now.

Anyway, ENT surgeon noticed BP was high, and called it right on the spot that it was directly related to pain. We were able to get the BP under control until surgery pain was under control, and I was able to stop taking the BP meds, and I have not had to use them since.

I pray that the same works for you. I still take pain meds daily for my other disorders, because if I let the pain get control, I get depressed, stressed, & *itchy! It's too much work getting back to me being in control of it, so I make sure I stay in control.

Best of luck to you both, keeping you in my prayers.

Keeping the ole digits crossed that this time it all gets fixed right. Also got another lot crossed that your DH starts mending a bit quicker too.
