Swap block shortcuts, and some OT update

Jul 25, 2008 1 Replies

I'm doing a siggy block swap, and my blocks are due at the end of next month. However, with my bum eye, and going on vacation for a week or so, it makes things slow going. Anyone have any suggestions on how to make things quicker? The blocks are as easy as pie, with only 3 pieces to each, but there are 90 of them. And I'd originally wanted them to be scrappy...but I wonder if just getting a yard or two of fabric and using the same one on all of them would be better. Just super indecisive today.

My eye update - I saw the Ophthalmologist last week, and he's concerned that the cornea isn't healing properly. So....this coming Monday, we're consulting with a cornea specialist to see what other things we could/should do. Makes me a little nervous, as I'd really love to avoid surgery if possible. Anyhoo.....that's what's up with me. Not much, in other words. But I miss being able to chat, etc. Something which will be remedied shortly, since we got a new laptop yesterday.

it may be easier for you to use the same fabric for all of them, especially if you could strip piece them.

hope your eye gets better. rest, rest, rest.
