That's lovely, Joan. The contrasts between the colours and the black is really striking. And you've done a great job of choosing the coloured fabrics - they blend without looking "muddy".
What a gorgeous quilt - the black couldn't be more perfect to make everything pop. WOW is all I can say.

Lovely. How does the binding get put on all those concave and convex points?

Those points will get cut off after it's quilted. It will have straight edges. j
Oh....My.....Gosh..... That is stunning! What is the bird? A crane? Did you make this start to finish this week? The fabrics are beautiful! You never cease to amaze me. Congratulations!
Yes, the birds are shaped like origami cranes and reminiscent of the statue at Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima Japan. No, not a one week project. It was a block of the month. I did 9 birds per month and then the borders and sashing.
Thanx for your k> Oh....My.....Gosh..... =EF=BF=BD That is stunning! =EF=BF=BDWhat is the bi=

Joan it is just stunning. Wonderful colours, beautifully put together. How you manage to maintain your high level of workmanship when you make so many quilts is amazing - I don't think I could do it. Congratulations. . In message , joan8904 in Bellevue Nebraska writes
Don't look too close. Some of those birds lost a wing tip or two during assembly.
