Altered Journal

Here is my first attempt at an altered journal. I am taking part in the = Scrapping Arts All About Me 2005 challenge. I have been putting off = making this journal because I was intimidated and a little nervous about = trying something new...silly, I know. Anyway, I think it turned out = pretty well! The digital photo doesn't do it justice...argh...

Thank you. Scrapping Arts is awesome. It used to be Our Creative = Companion, based on the Becky Higgins book. Then it switched to SA. I = really like it and totally forgot about it but they continued to send me = emails. I checked out the changes and wound up liking it even more than = I did before!=20

Looks great! I do like the quote you used. That's a neat website - especially the Quotes & Poems section. It didn't take me that long at all. I think it took more time for me to = actually figure out which cardstock to use then it did to put it = together. I would say about an hour and a half...

I love the quote you used on your journal. It is SO appropriate and really sets a wonderful tone for what you have in store for your journal. Really nice page.

Really Nice Melissa! Thanks for sharing.

I've been seeing the term "altered" around, but I am not really sure what it is.

What's an altered journal?

Thanks!

Here is a link to an article that I found online. Basically, you are altering the original cover of a journal to whatever your heart desires!
