Fabric + Mod Podge idea

So, I've been thinking a lot about how it's too bad most fabric isn't acid free, as I learned from this group, because if it were you'd have so many more options for patterned backgrounds. But then I saw Paper Mod Podge at Michaels, which is acid free and like regular Mod Podge can be used as both a glue and a sealer. On the Michaels website, the info about Paper Mod Podge says it can be used for fabric too, and I know regular Mod Podge works great on fabric.

My idea is that maybe if you glue fabric to cardstock, then use the Paper Mod Podge as a sealer over it, that maybe when it's all dry then it will be safe to use in scrapbooking, since the sealer would be an acid free coating over the fabric. What do y'all think?
