Hello. I visit (lurk) this group and read often. Theres so many talented people here and I'm learning so much from you. I'm almost embarrassed to ask my question, but I am new to sb, and can't seem to find an answer. When using page protectors, do I use them for each page of an album, or just the 1st and last page, or just on pages with embellishments like wire or brads? I have bought sevaral albums to scrap all acid free, but some came with page protectors on every page, some more economically priced didn't have any page protectors. Thank-you for your advise. LM

I personally put them on every page, embellished or otherwise...that goes for albums I do for customers as well as my own...just how I learned to do it I suppose:) Every extra step to preserve them, that's my theory!

Don't be embarassed to ask questions. I use page protectors on every page no matter if I have embellishments on them or not.I believe that this will help preserve them a lot longer. Usually if you buy an album that doesn't have page protectors on it, you can buy them seprately.

I agree with Nikki... I put them on all pages. I love for people to see the books but am paranoid about it getting messed up.

Welcome to the group! Hope you will join us often.
First rule of thumb is that no question is silly so don't be embarrassed. :o)
Second, we were all new to this craft at one time and probably had some of the same questions you do...so ask away! :o) Then again you may even ask some that the more seasoned scrapbookers want the answer to but hadn't thought to ask the question. Know what I mean?
Lastly, page protectors are all a matter of preference. I prefer to protect my hard work and therefore put them on all pages.

I agree with the rest so far, I protect every page, embellished or not:>)
I love page protectors on every page. It keeps things clean, especially from my kids' little dirty hands. It helps protect from accidental spills (my albums always seem to get passed around when people are drinking coffee). It protects the photos from rubbing against each other and aging faster. And I use less adhesive (which is expensive) because I know it will be protected and held in place under the plastic.
Just be sure to use PVC-free plastic page protectors.
Im going with the flow on this one.. every page.. no matter whats on it
Ladymo...Welcome...if we haven't already welcomed you. lol Yes you use page protectors on all your pages it keeps them fro getting messed up as well as keeping them as acid free as you can. Scrap books get a lot of handleing and it just makes sense to protect all of your precious photos and work. Hey don't ever be afraid to ask around here

i agree with all the others i too use page protectors on each page. i also agree that there are no dumb questions and i can say that this group has been a tremenous help to me in the past they are all very generousand giving...... welcome..
I do it for all the pages, not to just preserve them, but to also keep the page together. From what I've seen the small corners and such tend to catch and destroy the pages if not protected.

I put page protectors on all my pages, embellished or not. I want them to last as long as they possibly can.
I put page protectors on every page. I have a 8 year old and as we all know they like to have sticky fingers, not to mention DH, and grease.
