I bought a big quilling book with my 40% off coupon. It has some really complicated stuff in there like that lady's site I posted. Can't wait to try something simple... then someday try something complicated.

Cool....I am hoping to get a book next week at the Hobbycrafts exhibition. I am hoping there will be a stand on quilling so I can get more goodies although I did get some stuff of eBay, which arrived Monday. I got a starter kit, a kit to make petite flowers, two packs of quilling paper, just to get me started.....LOL Dreading the postman/courier arriving today as DH is having a few days off and I have a load of stuff arriving from my last eBay raid. I am trying to think of something to encourage him to go out....ROFL Oh well, perhaps it won't arrive today as the weather is not great....lots of snow and getting worse....teehee. Maybe they got stuck in snowdrifts or something!
I just bought that Klutz book on twirled paper (quilling) at Michaels that you recommended a while back Lynne. Love all those wonderful patterns in there and it comes with the the tool and glue. I guess I should have waited another 2 weeks when it wasn't on sale at $16 instead of $16.95 and used a coupon, but I was planning on taking it on the trip to Alabama that I'm not going on now. Poor DH has to go without me. I'm not deathly ill, just feel like I'm really tired, headachy and everything seems to hurt. Like I'm fighting off the flu or something. So better here than driving 7 hours each way and then staying in a hotel room when he is out with his students at a competition. I still plan on quilling in front of the TV.
So sorry you're not feeling good. This time of year we just can't seem to get away from it. At least you have the quilling book. It is good with all the pictures and directions and patterns. I love starter kits.
