Wow Kenda congrats on the speed at which you completed the challenge and what a great LO it is. I've got to try bottle caps now. I really like the look you got with them.

I'm going to have to try that. Did you run it through horizontally or vertically?

DH couldn't believe I"m using my "pricey" sewing machine to sew on paper! LOL "at least I'm using it honey!" heehee

I used the bottle caps because M-C said we had to use an embellishment. I didn't have any that would go with the fabric.....

I'm so demanding...lol!

Vertically seems to work best unless it is taped real well. I do vellum and cardstock the same way. That way I can use all the little pieces of scrap and not always put in a full sheet. Just have to watch the tape at the edge and be sure none of the print overlaps it. (speaking from experience and wasted twill) Sandy

I will use this technique sometime and see how it works for me.

You are naughty M-C....LOL

I had a great time at the Artstamps Scotland Exhibition and spent a fair amount (haven't counted the money remaining in my wallet...LOL) while DH hovered behind me carrying the bags . I watched a great demo using the I-Kan-Dee Chalks...so I just had to have two palettes of those....LOL They are much better than the decorating chalks I have!!!! They don't need fixing!!!

Bought another cardstock stack (Colorbox) from Stamporium that was just and essential purchase....NOT..... but I loved it and it was cheap.....so I had to have it! ROFL The first few pages are matching tags, alphas, frames and border strips, followed by the lovely weight cardstock in carnival color! The term is deceptive as the are rich but not in your face colours....anyway I love it!!!! I also bought an E-Z Score Board from this stand. It makes it simple to score for cards, making boxes etc. and has four nice designs you can emboss without a lightbox. It is the top item on this page but I only paid £9.95 at the exhibition. Some of these online stores are so unrealistic with pricing!!!!

(watch the wrap) From my LSS stand (got to support them or lose them even if the charge over the odds), I bought two Ranger's Distress Ink Pads, Tattered Rose and Walnut Stain ( I also want the Antique Linen & Tea Dye but hey were sold out :o( I got some Hero Arts Stamps that stamp like ribbon, ric-rack and zig-zag stitching.....so cool I had to have them too!!!!!! I also bought Bottle Caps there and a circle punch.....yeah!!!! Had fun last night squashing them in my Sizzix.....hehehehe! Need to buy more now 'cos I squished 'em in two minutes....LOL Might try DH's rubber mallet the next time just to see if they look different done that way :o)

Take care, Marilyn
