Make-n-take for crop

Added the make-n-take I'm teaching at the crop tomorrow (Saturday). I don't normally add pictures to the sample until after the crop, but had to go ahead and put one in the metal frame to put it on the page. Her other pics are just laid on for the scan. I couldn't wait to see it put together. The group wanted flashy and party, metal and mesh - a tall order..... I actually scraplifted the general idea and made a few changes. I put it in Sarah's Album instead of the make-n-take album. It's her prom page. If you have time please check it out and let me know what you think. I'm always worried the other members won't like the project after I get everything together. Oh...yes...this is the same Sarah as in the other scan with the bear. And yes, she wore army boots under her prom dress. Time moves too fast and I'm never going to catch up. Sandy

Sandy, you know I LOVE your LO's. It will work wonderfully for your crop session! You are going to get a lot of compliments! Sarah looks gorgeous and still very feminine through the PVC and boots, in fact, I think it accentuates it :) It's great that she's got her own style! She must love this LO! The pictures work wonderfully with the LO. There's nothing on here that I don't like. The journaling especially looks great. I see you mention a leathercraft stamp? How does that work?

That looks great! Your LO works great with the pictures. Also what is a make-in-take. Or why is it called that? Thanks for sharing.

Leathercraft stamps are metal alphabets that fit on a handle so you can hammer the positive image into the leather. I have used them for years at day camp and to make belts, billfolds, braclets, purses, etc. When I saw they were using sets almost like them I pulled mine out and tried it on the metal. Works great, but it leaves an imprint in the metal rather than a raised effect as the metal stamps in leathercraft are positive. The sets you buy for scrapbooking are backwards as you stamp on the back of the metal for a raised effect on the front.. Sandy

That looks great Sandy! Your group will love it. I love how you made the metal tags with your leather stamps. (More hammering! LOL) Where do you find the MM metal sheets? Sarah looks very beautiful in her prom dress, even with the combat boots. :-)

I bought it at Hobby Lobby - It is like handmade paper - rough texture and tears like mulberry only thicker. The sticker on the back just says Made In Thailand. It was fifty cents for an 8.5x11.
