Marta Stewart at my Michaels

I got in to see the MS line at my Michaels this weekend. It was put on the first full-length aisle of the store.

Maybe their contract says it has to go on the first full-length aisle (for impact). But I don't think the staff would have chosen that location. In my store, there is a big column right in front of that space. It hides a considerable amount on the shelves at that spot, and someone who uses a mobility scooter (like me) can't even get in front of the items. It's usually where the pipe cleaners and feathers wind up.

So it was amusing in light of the blog postings being discussed here. :-)

I saw the display aisle at my Michaels this weekend. It was about half full, but a lot of what was advertised wasn't even really scrapbook related stuff. unless there is some other stuff coming, I'm not real impressed with it. It was just a remake of what's already on the market, IMO! Oh well...I'm not rushing to buy any of it.....LOL!

When I met Andrea, I asked where the Martha wing was. I wasn't impressed. Ok I was interested in one punch but out of everything not really.

Maybe I'm just picky because my Father, Grandfather, & Great Uncle were all printers and I have an Art History background I found the quality of the stuff (paper and things) weak and expensive. 8 gift bags for $9.99 seemed excessive since the local dollar store has 10 for a $1 and they are of stronger quality.

Again they seemed to be a poor copy of EK Success and Anna Griffith. It was interesting though to see what she was going to put out. My sister, who isn't a scrapper, said maybe this is the first wave to see if it will sell. But fingered paper and said that is didn't seem like good quality paper.

However, my mom liked the 18x18 strap hing album but at $45 I thought it was excessive.

We'll see.

Doesn't EK Success make the Martha stuff? I am going to have to go to Michaels to see this stuff for myself.
