Kajikit asked me to let you know that she and her husband (and the cats) survived hurricane Wilma without damage to their apartment but she will not be able to post for some time as their electricity will probably not be restored until November 22nd and their cable internet may or may not be working then.

Their phone service is very patchy at the moment and although the water supply has been restored it is not fit for drinking. Very few banks are open so cash is in short supply. They were able to fill their car with gas yesterday for the first time because the queues are now manageable

She also asked me to let you know that, much as she would like to, she cannot participate in the embellishments swap because, although they have just started receiving mail, facilities for sending it are not currently operating. In addition, the scrapbooking shop near her is closed, possibly permanently,so she cannot buy anything to send.

Heather, Let Karen know we are all thinking about her. So glad they are safe. Sandy

So glad to hear that they are safe Tks for letting us know

Thanks for letting us know hwo she and family are doing. Glad they are safe! Sounds like they are struggling a bit with the necessities of life. We'll still be here when she's able to return.

Thank you Heather for the update. So, glad to hear she and her husband are OK despite the utility and mail aggravations.

Lynne

Prayers to her and all the others dealing with situations like this!! Hopefully there won't be any more hurricanes this season! We've had enough to last a lifetime! :*(

I hope that she stays safe and well. If there is anything that she needs that I can send her through the mail, please let me know via email at mccplg AT yahoo DOT net. I'll be happy to help out!

I'm so glad to know they're safe. They're both in my prayers as they struggle to get things back to normal. Please let Karen know that I'll put her at the end of the embellishment box list. That way she still has a chance to have a turn at it, especially since she did contribute to it.

That is very kind of you, M-C.

Thank you Deb. When I next hear from her I will let her know what you are doing.

Following up to my own post to thank all of you for your kind wishes and concern. I will pass your messages on to her when I next hear from her.

I'm glad that Karen and her husband are safe. Tell her that we are thinking of her and she is in our prayers.

Thank goodness they made it through the hurricanes. The US certainly has had its share lately! I hope its a 'speedy recovery' for her and her family in getting back to normal!

Linda C

Glad to hear that everyone came through unscathed. I am sure you must be relieved with that news :o) We will all be sending positive thoughts Karen's way and look forward to having her back when she can get online.

Take care, Marilyn
