Missing Valley Forge

Aug 02, 2008 8 Replies

I woke up at 7am to go to the CKC at Valley Forge this morning and here I am sitting here missing it. I didn't feel well when I woke up and my breathing was not so great. I thought after a shower I would feel better but just from getting a shower and getting dressed I was struggling to catch my breath and my heart was pounding so hard in my chest. I started having a coughing fit and like many women my age I then had to change clothing if you know what I mean. Another coughing episode convinced me that I needed to stay home or pack some extra clothes. I opted to stay home and it is a good thing because I took my temp an hour ago and I have a low grade fever as well.

$81 down the drain and I was so much looking forward to those classes. ;o(

Oh, I am so sorry! I do know what you mean about the coughing fit and let me tell you I think it happens regardless of ones age! I do hope you feel better soon! ~:o) Is there any other day that they are there? Can you call and ask them if you can trade in the ticket for another day? Just wondering and curious. Blessings and a speedy feel better, Dorothy in NY

I'm sorry you did not get to go Scout Lady. It's always so disappointing when you look forward to something and things just don't work out. Please look after yourself - it sounds like a chest cold. Your health is the most important.

Oh, that stinks. Sorry your didn't get to go. Take care of yourself though and I hope you are feeling better soon!

AWww..I am sorry you didnt get to go. I know EXACTLY what you mean about the coughing...I've been there, done that! I hope you get to feeling better! Linda

Glad to know I'm not the only one with that problem.........what a bummer. I can feel your disappointment. I really tried to figure a way to get there myself after finding they were not having one in Nashville this year, but it just didn't work out. Sandy

OH so sorry you missed it. I know you're disappointed, but you would have been miserable if you had gone. Probably staying home will get you on the path to recovery quicker.

I would have never made it, spent most of yesterday and today laying on the sofa. I forced myself to go to Cheeseburger in Paradise for dinner tonight and the whole time I was counting he minutes until we could leave.

I know you're dissappointed, but it's best that you stayed home. No point in making yourself worse! I hope you're feeling better today.
