My 1st Try at Traditional Scrapbooking

Had the idea for my recent trip to the beach with my dad, aunt, uncle &

13 cousins to make a scrapbook with each person (except the toddler & infant) making at least 1 page. Didn't happen, tho hopefully my cousin who scrapbooks will organize getting the pages done now that they're home (& after they get pics printed to work with). The cousin who scrapbooks & I each did 4 pages; and her husband, sister & niece each did one. I've posted my 4 pages (w/o pics, since we were creating the pages while looking at the digital images on my computer; I need to print those & send them to my cousin to add to the pages).

It's the last album in the group, "Beach Scrapbook". Thanks to a certain scrapbooker from OKC for the eyelet setter & some of the paper.

WTG Alicia! I think it looks great! What size will your album be? It might be easier digitally, but don't you find the tangibility of regular scrapping more satisfying? TFS!

Nice LO's. I like that you were able to do them before you had the photos printed. Really saves some time.

Wow Alicia, great job on the layouts. I know how hard it is to scrap without pictures. So will you do more traditional scrapbooking or is it back to digital?

Thanks, everyone. As with digital, I was more pleased with some layouts than others.

Judy asked:

8.5x11. I suggested that size so we have the option of scanning it (no one in the family has a 12x12 scanner) to make copies for anyone who wants one.

Actually, I found it more frustrat>I'd love to see the pages after the photos are addes as well.

Not sure if I'll be able to scan them when d>I like that you were able to do them before you had the

Since I was returning to the west coast before the pics were printed, it was our only choice. There were 6 families on the trip, so we'd hoped to get the pages mostly done while we were altogether. Oh, well.

Cathy asked:

Back to digital. Not saying I won't do any traditional scrapbooking, but digital is my favorite medium.

Wonderful memories of a wonderful vacation. Your pages are nice. I'll bet it was a real challenge to put the pages together going back and forth with just the digital image. Sandy

Great layouts Alicia!! You did a great job on your 1st try. I know you like Digital better but don't you just enjoy pounding those eyelets?

Thanks, Tabitha.

Pounding eyelets is sure less expensive than pounding the keyboard. LOL
