My First Paint Can

Thanks, Deb! My daughter was really surprised. I gave it to her the night before the wedding to be sure she was thinking about what else they might want to put in it. That's when they decided on the letters to each other.

My DS's GF has already hinted for one for them - they told me after my DD's wedding that they were getting married at the end of summer. I think they didn't want to tell anyone before DD's wedding to take away from her day. At least I have experience behind me now - maybe the next one will be easier. Sandy

I know what you mean. My DH doesn't either. I have a trunk in the attic with the little things I saved from each one of the children when they were born. I'm thinking of making them each a birth can. Things like their first pair of shoes, outfit from the trip home from the hospital, rattle, etc. The younger ones have homemade cards from their older siblings that could be put in there too.

That's a sweet idea. Do you just get old paint cans and clean them out.

What a great idea. It is something they will cherish for years to come. The can is beautiful.

Thanks, Cathy. They both loved it. Sandy

No, you can buy new unused paint cans at Lowe's or Home Depot. I'm thinking they were around $3. Sandy

Thanks, M-C. I actually got up my nerve to try one of these after seeing someone elses in the group. That's one of the things I really like about RCS is the new ideas that come from sharing. Sandy

Yeah, I think it was Tabitha in FL! I seem to remember movie themed cans as well.

That sounds a lot better then cleaning one out. It would be well worth the

3 dollars.

Beautiful job Sandy. I bet they like it.
