OT: 1st School Picture

Hi All,

I truly thought I had two more years to go but it seems Sarah is so far ahead of the curve that she is going to Pre-Nursery School twice a week (Elizabeth had taken her to the school to inquire and Sarah was so ingrossed with the lesson that the teacher said "she is so smart for a 4 year old" imagine her surprise when Elizabeth responded "she is only 2 she turns 3 in a few weeks.") as Sarah can count to 20 in English and to 10 in Spanish (thank you dora) and say her alphabet and goes to Gymnastics once a week and today was class picture day at Gymnastics.

I ordered on class picture and one regular standalone picture. However Elizabeth said Sarah wanted more pictures "for my book mommy" so I owe her more money as Sarah spent my money LOL.

I'll upload the card and book I made for Sarah once I find the Camera's charger LOL

How wonderful that her intelligence is being recognized and not held back by some stupid rules! Enjoy Aunt Kate!

Also you should pat yourself on the back as sheer intelligence is nothing if it is not honed and developed. I am not saying in the least that we need to push our children to succeed but rather that if we are not exposing them to the world, reading to them, taking them to the zoo, shopping with us, or whatever your life entails then we are limiting the intellectual growth of our child. So, as I said, pat yourself on the back. It is not by DNA alone that she is so intelligent.

How wonderful! I know that you can take credit for a little bit of that education. My kids say intelligent things and sometimes I can't figure out where they got it from. It wasn't me. I'll ask them where they learned it and they'll say, "Uncle told us." It won't be long before your little niece will be saying, "Aunt Tate told me."

Lynne

PS. My kids from time to time refer to their Uncle as Guncle, because that was how they said it when they were little. I imagine you'll be an Aunt Tate from time to time even when she can say Kate.

LOL Sarah already says "Uncle Larry would let me." or "Aunt Tate lets me stir why can't you?" sarah can say Kate but said to me once "I like tate better." so much to her mommy's chagrin I allow Sarah to call me "aunt tate" but she will introduce me as "my aunt Kate" just so strangers aren't confused she once explained.

Hugs, kate

That is wonderful. I bet Sarah is so excited about going to school. I can see you have already made a scrapbooker out of her if she is asking for extra pictures for her book. She is lucky to have Aunt Tate and Uncle Larry.
