OT: Back at work

I was cleared to go back to work last week but because of everything I went through I wanted an extra week (thank god because all the diretics hit last wednesday).

everyone was happy to see me and with the heavy rain it is slow thus far. Then again it is 9:30 a.m.

It's nice to get back into routine.

For a documented leave it was 15 pieces of paper. Good grief.

Kate, it is good to hear that everything is going well and you are happy to be back. I can't imagine they would make it easy for you to take a leave but 15 pages? geez thats a lot!

Hi Crystal,

See I work for the City of New York as a civil servant with the NYPD and the Commanding Officer knew I wasn't faking it (he bumped into my husband at the hospital and saw me in the recovery room even though I was sound asleep) and OK'ed my LWOP.

I had 15 notes documenting hospital visits and doctor visits to confirm why I was out including doctor's notes "prescribing" me sick time.

So it was o.k. Except I'm going 3 weeks without Pay. At least we have the savings and larry salary.

Kate I'm glad to hear that you are back at work and feeling better. Isn't working for a government agency and all their paper work fun?

Kate, there's always a TON of paperwork for leave when you work for a municipality! LOL

Glad you are back to work and glad the first day was slow, that helps getting back into the routine! Hope you are feeling better.

Kate - glad you're doing better and back at work! Must be nice to get back into a routine. And what a great way to ease you into it then by making you do all that paperwork. :)
