OT: Emails

It seems here as of late that there are a lot of US having problems either getting or sending emails.

April just told me on the phone that she has not been able to send me any, that they bounce back.

Strange as I received several this week from people who were not on my email list yet.

It makes me wonder if those sending them happen to be using the same email client. i think MC said something about her Outlook express not working right.

That is what we use at work and I absolutely abhor it!! It has been finicky here lately too.

Anyhow just a thought.

Oh, on th same subject, on internet explorer, the line that you can pull down ands shows urls of where you have been in the last whenever, how do you delete or clear them out? I have one heck of a long list and would like to get rd of them.

Thanks

In IE choose Tools, Internet Options and under the General Tab choose clear history. If you don't want it to store the url's at all then change it to zero days for history.

I keep trying to email to m-c but it bounces everytime. I've tried using gmail and yahoo mail; neither work. But, strangly when I email people not associated with this site I don't have a problem. I hate computers!

LOL!! And I thought only MEN had this problem as OUR patience is shorter and as a typical one, I hate to read manuals, help me links, etc!!!

(humm just goes to show that women ARE related to us -- ROTF!!!))

It's one of the wonders of the internet's mysteries why some do some don't and if the email is really important it's sure to send the email to lala land. Go figure! But it's also important to believe in our fellow RCSers and know that with the level of kindness and dare I say it love that we have in here, the odds are always on the side of kindness rather than on the side of someone deliberately wanting to make someone feel bad by ignoring or snubbing us. For that reason, its usually better to try to work things out via email and OT:Ping the person here on group only saying things like " I'm not sure what is happening X, but I've sent you X emails and they don't seem to be getting through to you. Can you email me please at.... ?

I've noticed that this works most of the time. It's a mighty sad thing if our SS swaps start making people feel bad and have our Elf wanting to run to the North Pole and hide in an Igloo before it even gets started! If after a while you still can't get through to one person, you can always ask another RCS member to forward your email.

For myself, I'd like to apologize if any of you have written and I've not reacted. It's been a bit of a difficult time for me for about 4 months now and things won't be settling for a while yet. My next surgery is November

7th. I honestly have not meant to snub, hurt or ignore anyone and I know for a fact that some of the bios didn't get to me. And yup, there were a couple that I got, worked on, and then forgot to link. Frankly I have no illusions of being perfect. That is why I publish the list and ask for your help making everything right. Having each of you looking and helping me fix the list and the bios is very important to me.

Have a wonderful weekend,

M- C
