We got back from our week in Colorado. It is nice to be back home, we missed our puppers. It was nice to get out of Phoenix for a while, but the week itself was just ok. It was neat to see the animals....smell the fresh air....be woken by a rooster or 3 c*ck-a-doodle-dooing. Too cute to see momma chicken with 7 little babies following. Watching the ducks a geese padding around in puddles. But, it was hot...not 117 like here in Phoenix but about 103. Too hot to spend the day outside with the animals. Everyone was working...so the days were spent just hanging around the house. Did not get to spend much time with my sister. It was nice, but not what I had hoped. Anyway, it is nice to be back home. 3 more weeks and school starts. I am excited, ready to get back to work.

Between Phoenix and CO, I'd go for CO, too. LOL I was born in Phoenix, and had relatives living there after we moved away. Seeing Phoenix temps in the summer makes me so glad we moved away. Sounds like you did have a nice trip, though. Did you get lots of pics to scrap?

It's always nice to be back home when you've been gone for a few days. Was it humid in CO? I remember living in Tucson and even with 115 days it didn't feel as bad as it did in AR with 103 degrees with 80% humidity. (though my DM disagrees, "anything over 95 is just plain hot!" but 115 with

1% humidity was truely cooler! IJMHO)

I think many of us will be glad when school starts in a few short weeks. All for our own reasons! LOL You to get back to work, Deb so she has time to do some scrappin', my DS #1 because this is his last year in HS. Me just because we have more of a routine and I like routines!

Glad you made it back!

Unfortunately we had forgot our digital camera....so we did not take hords of pics like I had planned. My niece let me borrow hers when we went to Ouray for the day, and then took some quick pics of Tori with the animals. We bought a disposable camera for the trip home...haven't developed it yet.

We didn't have alot of humidity. There were storms every night for the first 3 nights we were there. The morning and evenings were absolutely beautiful. If you were up early it was a bit chilly even. The bugs were another thing though...lol. They were everywhere! The flies and mosquitos were crazy! My husband was spider hunting everynight...haha.

As for back to school, I am really looking forward to it. I enjoy the 1st part of summer, but then I miss being back at work, the people, the kids. This year there are a lot of changes, everything is going to be completely different and I am excited. This will be a year of changes. I still have to decide if this will be my last year there. Tori will be in 6th grade...and so it will be her last year in grade school...not sure if I can see myself there withought her. I don't know, lots to think about. 3 more weeks...whoo hoo :-)

Welcome back and glad you had some good times anyhow!!

I agree with Kenda on the heat, I can handle 110 in Arizona, NOT here as that even 25% humidity really makes it awful!!
