Photo storage on layout?

I've made small books by sewing, tying, and/or stapling a few pieces of cardstock together so they look like a greeting card. Then fastened it to the page so the top cover works as a mat for a photo. The rest of the photos I want to include go on the pages inside. I have found that Bazzill cardstock is just too thick to use for more that two folds as it seems thicker than most cardstock and makes the booklet too thick on the page. Other types of mini albums on the page work as well like the flower one in my Barn Meet May 2006 album in my webshots account. I've used corner mounts and just stuck a few extra photos on the back of a LO before. I've also started doing some journaling on the back of LO's when I have some personal info to add. I saw recently where someone mounted a pretty envelope on a LO and added extra photos inside the envelope using tabs on the top edges of the photos so it looks like a filing system. I thought that was a neat idea and stored it away for future use.

When I make a gift album I usually put at least one envelope inside the front or back cover to hold extra stuff... there are never enough pages in those things :P I've got a coluzzle envelope template but before I got it I pulled a regular envelope apart and used to make myself a template that I could print out and cut around... Just make it and then put adhesive on the back and stick it in the album...
