Sizzix

I read here that someone was surprised that they could not find sizziz in lss's. It rather surprised me too. I learned talking to a shopowner last week that you have to but like a franchise license for them. So as a result lss's can not afford that. Guess that is why Michael's seems to be the MAIN retailer for them!

I asked or mentioned inthe past the interest in trying a quikcutz on a sizzix. I bought oe last week and tried it with the tips gleaned from ya'll, and it works wonderful!!! However just also received the new Sizzix newsgrm and see where next month (Nov) they are releasing their new "Sizzlits", with a adaptor that will work with them and quikcutz. Mariann and I are then going to change our focus and get them, INSTEAD of a quikcutz. Hurry up income tax time!!!

(sorry, me rushing time - hey it is not as hectic as the holly days! (weeelll, for MOST!))

Just curious. Why will you get the Sizzlets instead of the QK's? Is it because of the price?

Personally, I think the QK has nicer alphabets. (from what I've seen, maybe I'm missing something in the Sizzix)

I want the sizzix dies because of the fact that they come in different sizes. They are releasing new alphabets too. The quickutz are more expensive. Not that i wouldn't buy quickutz but I wouldn't buy the machine itself. I already have the sizzix and can use the QK dies in there.

Hey Jenn!

I gues the reason am changing mind (Mariann more so), is she has three sets of letters for Sizzix already and they are going to be cheaper than qc's. So we shall see, who knows with the new adaptor that Sizzix is going to have, you can get both or a combination of them.

Ah, thanks for answering. So it is basically price. I'm wondering because I just got a QK and was wondering if the Sizzlets are going to work on my QK. Anyone know?

Will the Sizzlets letters be bigger than the QK?

Ah, I'd say they need to. QK has some really nice ones.

The quickutz are more expensive. Not that

I was asking because I have a QK and was wondering if the Sizzlets will work in the QK, I know QK works in Sizzix.

Really - the QK dies work on the sizzix machines? Gah - why didn't I think of that. There's a whole new category for my birthday and christmas wish list!

Jenn, I don't think that the Sizzix will work on the QuicKutz. The Sizzix dies are encased in a plastic type case and are at least 1/4 to /1/2 inch thick. At least the ones I saw were and the QuicKutz's are paper thin. If I am wrong, someone let me know. Connie k

Oh, I meant the new sizzlets. They are thin, like the QK, right? I guess we won't really know until they come out.

the sizzlets are suppose to be the same size as the QK

Hopefully they will work in the qk. When are these sizzlets supposed to be out, anyway? I saw them in the creative xpress catalog, but from what I understand here, they aren't out yet.

They had some at Memories Expo in Orlando 2 weeks ago. I didn't even ask about them since I have QK. But after reading these posts, I started thinking about buying a Sizzix machine (down the road) with a 50% off coupon and then I could also have Sizzix dies and use my QK in it, too. Well, that will have to come later because I really like my QK and all the dies and alphabets they have.
