Hello, I am looking for a pattern for a herb collar that I can use for an elderly person that I can put herbs in it and that can be put in the microwave. Other than flax or rice, is there anything else that anyone uses to make the project lighter in weight.

Feed corn is lighter than rice. Another possibility would be cherry pits. Haven't tried them, but I've heard raves. You can find them online.
