PVA is "PolyVinyl Acetate". One type is "TiteBond II" wood glue. See:

It's yellow carpenter's glue, like Elmer's or Titebond.

It is the creamy white, regular old, wood glue like Elmers and the newer Titebond II. Don't confuse it with the aliphatic resins which are a light yellow color.
