Can anyone suggest good fiber festivals in the the fall? I would love to learn how to spin or take some classes in two handed color knitting.
Thanks, Barb

Hi Noreen, Well, big "duh" for me, eh. Heh. I live in Hawaii and was thinking North America, although a tinsy part of me wants New Zealand. I would like Wisconsin, that area since then my sister might join me, but haven't ruled out any of the states.
Thanks, Barb

Stitches Midwest is in mid-August, somewhere in the midwest; Google should find their web page. That sounds like your best bet if you'll be over here then. If not, there's Stitches East.
Stitches East is November 2-5 in Baltimore, MD.
Earlier than that, there is a Fiber Arts Festival in Valley Forge, Pennslvania the weekend of July 15.

Good old Google has the answer. One of the many hits was
Ok, if you go to Wisconsin, you absolutely HAVE to go to The SchoolHouse, outside of Madison... it's Meg Swansen's shop (Elizabeth Zimmermann's daughter) It's not a 'festival'.. but oh, you just HAVE to go there! I'll keep looking around for some fall festivals for you! Hugs, Noreen
It's not close to Wisconsin but I love the Taos Wool Festival
Barb, remember North America uncludes Canada and the United States, just in case, you wanted to come to some of the Canadian textile events, like Maiwa's symposium, in Vancouver at the end of September begin October. There are also several good events in Ontario at that time as well.
