Finally making something for myself

Hi

Well I know that I have my NYCO on needles I but have started a shrug for myself today. The pattern I am using is in the Knit It! book that is currently out.

I started the shrug today and I am happy to say that it is going very fast and hopefully will have it done within the week.

The reason I am knitting a shrug is that while sitting crocheting and knitting I have a window behind me and think I have got a cold in the right shoulder which is causing a lot of pain. I figure this is something that I will get a lot of use out of and am happy that I am making something for myself.

Take care Darlene in Toronto

Is it the off-white one on the cover? If so, that's a nice one. If I wasn't so "fluffy", I wouldn't mind one of those, but it would look silly on me. You're slim enough to carry it off nicely. ;>)

For any who are making that one, there are errors in the pattern and in the illustrations. The corrected pattern is posted on the KnittersReview forum in the thread called Rant about Shrugs.

Hi

Yes it's the off-white one on the cover. I am actually making it in wheat which is very similiar to the off-white it called for.

Shelagh... LOL I love that term "fluffy"! I think that sounds much nicer, and gentler than some other terms. ;o)

I will take a picture of the shrug once it's finished and hopefully when I'm wearing it.
