The free skein of Bernat Disco yarn came today. I was surprised that it was in a large envelope from Mary Maxim (the yarn & crafts catalogue).
The color is "Aqua Velvet " - could that be a play on words with "Aqua Velva" which I think is men's aftershave or something like that. It is absolutely beautiful - bright and shiny - and aqua is my favorite color. My couch is even aqua, from the 50's, I have an aqua top on right now, and my closet is mostly all aqua or teal. They sure sent me the right color.
They also sent along three Bernat patterns to use with the Disco: a shawl, a bag, and a scarf, and a paper telling where to contact them -
Also a Mary Maxim flyer with a $5 coupon good on an order with them over $40.
For those who also requested the free yarn, you won't be disappointed - it is a fantastic color.
