Hello Mirjam and thank you for the greeting. I see you used to live in Manchester. We lived in small town called Northwich in the early

1970's. Our youngest son was born there and, as there was some doubt whether he would survive, he spent a few weeks in the Duchess of York hospital in Manchester.

You are very creative and I think my favourite on your web page is the piece entitled "Lights of Haifa". It looks alive.

Hello Shilelagh,

I lived in Iowa for 10 months. That was the coldest place I have ever lived and I have lived in Germany.

We had a block heater put on my Ford Van while we were there. My husband went active duty Army after that and we moved down to North Carolina. This was in 1998. Way before hybred cars.

People would see the plug hanging out of the front of the van and asked me if it was an electric car. I explained over and over again about how cold it was in Iowa and it was used to keep the engine warm. After being asked about 50 times if it was an electric car I got tired of explaining it to them and I began telling them oh yes Ford has an electric car. They would believe me.

Stay warm, Paula
