I've been busy with work (the controlled burn season is DONE and now it's time for CAMPING season) and showing the Beau dog.
Beau got a couple of placements in the Herding Group in March (two Group 3s), two more in April (a 4 and a 2) and the same weekend in April he went Best in Show. He's also ranked #1 for his breed right now. Woo Hoo! He's probably not going to stay #1 for much longer (a big show is coming up in June) but I'm still happy.
My BF is also going back to Iraq soon to do personal security... so I'm trying to spend some time with him before he goes.
I did finish my Wonderful Wallaby for my nephew, and he's getting it this afternoon for his birthday (he turned 4 yesterday and the party is today). I made a size 8 (according to the pattern) since he's a big 4 year old (almost a size 5) and I wanted him to be able to wear it this fall/winter. When I compared it to the size 6 shirts I bought him it appears to be smaller by at least one size. I checked my gague and it was correct, but I wonder if it's not a problem with the pattern? I had the same problem with the WW I made for myself (but not the one I made for my neice, but I think I made a 6 for her when she was 5 and it fits well and she is pretty thin).
