Our neightbor has been cooking something delicious since 7am, and the lovely smell inspired me to bake some brownies and start a beef roast, so now OUR place smells just as delicious. Frogged a scarf, decided to make a shawl instead. The COWBOYS play at 3pm, and the "Survivor Finale" is tonight, so that takes care of 6 hours of television today/tonight. I'm in a funk of a mood. One of those; "if wishes were horses, beggers would ride" OR "wish in one hand, sXit in the other, see which fills up first" kinds of moods. At some point, I'm NOT going to be able to blame my maladies on mentalpause!!! Yeesh! Hugs, Noreen

I'm trying to keep my head above water as far as Christmas, my school and the boys' school goes. It's been completely nuts around here. I have an FO, though! A Fair Isle for my 5 year old. It's a little too large, but I intended that. I posted pictures on my blog:

That is very smart Hesira, he will be a very proud lad when he wears it. I love the pattern design and the colours really show off the stitch detail. Beautiful workmanship. :-)
The sweater is lovely. I was also looking at your other posts and I was wondering what do you use for a blocking board?

I use 2 things for blocking. The blue surface is made up of interlocking foam floor mats. The kind you would find on a daycare floor. The gridded surface is a cheap board I bought at Hancock's for about $10. It's corrugated cardboard with a 1 inch grid printed on it.

How size is your board? Was the grid pre-printed or did you apply it yourself? I have been thinking of making one from cardboard and thick craft foam.

The board was pre-printed. The size of the whole thing is about 4 feet by 6 feet. The grid is increments of 1 inch and there are curves printed on the board as well. I'm not sure what they are for, but a sewer could tell you, I'm sure. My board wasn't intended for blocking damp knitwear. I think it's a quilter's board. Like I said, it was around $10, and worth every penny.
